Summer squash (Cucurbita pepo L.) is one of the important vegetable species preferred by people Turkey in terms their nutritional value. F1 hybrid summer varieties are widely used both open field and protected cultivation. The majority these come from abroad, our dependence on abroad continues. In this study, effectiveness dihaploidization method, which has an place variety breeding studies, was investigated to reduce import dependency produce new that high yielded, quality, resistant diseases pests. context, 14 genotypes were as plant material. Dihaploidization studies carried out using irradiated pollen technique. total, 165 flowers pollinated 64 fruits, 7034 seeds, 521 embryos, 144 plants obtained. 111 pants successfully acclimatized cultivated controlled conditions.
